Kingfield Academic Action

On Monday, January 13, 2014, eight students from grades 5-8 faced off in the Kingfield School Spelling Bee. Eighth-grader Brooke Hinkley won first place with sixth-grader Jackson Masterson coming in with a close second as runner up. Seventh-grader Kiley Holt finished third.

In January over a dozen students participated in the annual Geography Bee at KES. Our school champion is Trevor Hupper. Runners up we’re Maddy Osborne and Hayden Luce. This is the second time Trevor has been our school champion. He will take a test that will qualify him for the State Geography Bee later this spring.

With a theme of “You’re A Smart Cookie” the Kingfield School’s K-2 students celebrated the 100th  Day of school  on February 11, 2014.  The students spent the morning in mixed grade groups participating in a variety of activities. All students gathered together for a special snack and of course lots of counting.
